About FDC

The Future Development Commission is a non-profit civil organization, operating in the northern governorate of the Gaza Strip. It was established in 2003 and works to develop the economic, social, educational and health fields by participating in the development of human resources and achieving social justice, equality and equal opportunities using democratic, effective and multiple tools. FDC's vision is to support and empower society and achieve sustainable development based on good governance. FDC seeks to achieve its vision and mission by playing an effective role in child protection through providing complete and quality education to the entire community in the Gaza Strip, including ensuring that children have access to safe and friendly play grounds that guarantee health and psychological well-being and combating all types of gender-based violence and discrimination and bullying. The FDC also works to ensure the availability of psychological support for mother and child, and to develop educational facilities, including kindergartens, through the development of health facilities, playgrounds, and laboratories. In addition, FDC aims to combat poverty among women and youth by promoting sustainable livelihoods and providing decent job opportunities to ensure their sustainability and active participation in social and economic life. FDC focuses on young inventors, businessmen, and women who have lost their opportunity to participate in economic life to enable them to have a decent life. Moreover, FDC seeks to provide a high-quality environment and sustainable management of solid waste, water and sanitation for all, through the involvement of civil society associations and the local community In managing solid waste, water and sanitation, and providing an appropriate environment, in addition to leading the community, it has a role in preserving the environment and launching community initiatives in order to enhance the environmental situation in society.
